Fearlessness ...... Thy name is MSD.....

Someone once said, "If you want huge success, look up for a huge problem...."Given a young team to represent India at the T20 world cup, he came up trumps, are we surprised at the huge amount of accolades showered on our very own MSD.

The man feels no nerves ( or covers up too good for it) ..... you throw him a lemon and he'll tell you ways to make lemonade.... maybe a different flavor every time.

I vividly remember him trashing opposition bowlers (regardless of who it was) on many an occasion, I knew that he was here to stay, what I didn't guess was that he was here to lead.....

The captain is first to come in the firing line and the opposition always target him... So can we say that we have got the captain who has "it" in him...

Let the time decide on that one.......

In the end.....All that matters.......

First of all Chak De India!!!! A wonderful victory and a well deserved one....

There is nothing sweeter than success and there can be no substitute, because people don't remember you for aiming the target, they remember you for hitting it..... and thats the bottom line.

At the presentation ceremony none of the players said that it was a victory for the game and that winning and losing is a part of it... cos it just isn't.... Finally Indian Cricket team has learned one lesson... Winning is all that matters.............

Cheers to the Team India.........................

For Men may come and Men may go....

Take a moment and observe the pictures, hell no !! , I don't question your intelligence, HE does.
For those who said that Shah Rukh Khan is all about overacting. shut up....and take notice....

The man is simply demonstrating with his work that he is truly the Badshah of the tinsel town. After a powerful performance in Chak De India!!! where hez playing a coach with single point focus, "Victory", we watched the promos of his upcoming flick "Om Shanti Om" where he is flaunting a new look... Watch out Hritik and John, your only edge has blunted big time...

I remember the lines of a poetry which personifies Mr. Shah Rukh Khan, "For Men may come and Men may go, but I go on forever......."

The Other Side of ME...

How many times you have seen people behave strangely and wonder, is that really him? In the recent past I had such an experience, Owen Wilson attempted suicide. We all know him as a person who can get any person into splits in matter of splits. I wondered what on earth might have driven him to take an extreme step, until i read that he had a multiple split-personality disorder.

It amused me, not because it drove such a cheerful looking man into misery but the fact that each and every one of us (if we are true to ourselves) have more than one personalities. There is one personality that we are and the one which we crave to be. Many a times we are so possessed with the person we want to be that we start to emulate it, unknowingly. Its basically just a crave which needs to be satisfied because if denied for a long time, it turns into mad passion which plunges us into depression.

The next time you want to be something, and you deny it to yourself, take a moment and think, You owe it to the other person in you.

A Dream

I vividly remember arriving in Mumbai with two of my friend-colleagues on 13th Nov 2005. We had just finished our ILP (Initial lovely period) at the firm that hired us. All of us were waiting for this day to arrive... we were excited as, here we were about to begin our corporate careers.
The major mood dampener came late on 14th Nov evening at 6:00 pm when a wise @$$ announces to me that I am allocated a domestic project and that was not all, the location was CBD-Belapur ....... Hell I had to travel 90 mins to get to office.. I tried to talk him out of this decision... but it fell on deaf ears..

So the day of reckoning had arrived... at 10:00 am on 15th Nov 2005 I first set foot in the biggest data center in India. I promised my self that I'll not last more than 6 months in this project... otherwise I'll be killing my career with my own hands..... I lived in denial for at least a month saying to myself..this is just a nightmare.. one day the HR will call me and allocate me to friendlier office..... Sadly that day never came.. till I resigned on 16 July 2007. I visited that office on my last day in office.... call that a paradox..

You might wonder whats dream in this... well the period Nov 15th 2005 to July 16th 2007 was a golden period for me personally (if not professionally). I met 3 guys, lets say S,K and N and a gal, S again who became a part of my daily life... we were team mates.... but we shared more than a professional relationship.. There was never a weekend when we did not hangout together.... The best part was, we never took each other for granted... I also met two other gals lets call them P and M, who were not quite in the group but were not out of it either.....

Six months into the project, I made friends with 2 other super cool guys (G an M) who made me realize that friendship is all about sharing joys as well as sorrows.... I could trust one of them with my life.... Then... I met this cheerful chirpy character (Big D).. the heart of our 'other group'.. well I have almost never seen a negative emotion on her face...she has this wonderful knack to make people feel, they are special... She was an instant hit....or I may say.. will continue to be....

Well don't wonder about the header now..... You know that this was truly the best period of my life. I had met an assortment of people who would continue to be important in my life and on whom I could count any day.....

Herez a big cheers to them, who made a difference in my life........

@ Cornell University

Hello Folks !!!

My first post is dedicated to my university. When I left India to join Cornell, I had people telling me how prestigious my university is.. Little did I know how gorgeous it is.

I arrived here at 2:00 am EST on 12th August and was amazed to see people out on the streets in large numbers, it took me a while to figure out that these were Cornellians celebrating their weekend. This is the best part, its not only one of best universities curriculum wise but also the best place to party. And when I say party U gottu be here to experience it.

It all begins at 16:15 hrs at The Big Reg Barn. We call it TGIF, essentially its a get together where all grads are served free refreshments. Its organized for social networking. Beer@ $1 is also a main feature of this TGIF. Then we have dance session on last Friday of every month. U might wonder is that all !! things have not yet begun, There are communities all over the campus where people have private parties...that's music, skylights,(booze) and food.

That goes on late into Friday night(Saturday). Then u have a Saturday party which begins on Saturday evening an runs through Sunday afternoon. People then get out on Sunday evenings and we have lots on sports competition (basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton) also there is bowling. At 11:00 pm on Sunday night.. people go back to academic mode..after all a new week is coming folks..
